ADHD Assessments

Clients will complete a life history questionnaire and behavioral rating scales prior to their first appointment. Amy and the client will spend one in-depth session reviewing the questionnaire and rating scales, clarifying how ADHD has impacted their lives and their relationships. As ADHD is also comorbid with many other conditions like depression, anxiety, substance use or trauma, the client may complete other diagnostic inventories as well. Amy also offers the Intermediate Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance Test for ADHD assessment and is happy to test clients both on and off medication.

Once an accurate diagnosis is reached, Amy will work with the client to find personal strategies to optimize strengths and work around challenges. With the client’s consent, she is happy to communicate with schools, doctors or other outside professionals on the client’s behalf. Please note that, in order to gain access to certain educational services and accommodations at the primary, secondary and college levels, a diagnosis is required.
